Black Lives Matter Movement

The Black Lives Matter Movement aims to raise awareness about racism, discrimination, and inequality faced by black people. Below is a list of UK-based charities for those who may be looking to support or donate to help end racism:

SARI (Stand Against Racism and Inequality)

SARI provides free and confidential support to anyone who has been victimized by a hate crime. Whether that’s based on race, faith, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or sex. Additionally, they strive to build greater understanding and respect for diversity and difference among our communities.

Show Racism the Red Card

Show Racism the Red Card exist to educate the public to work towards the elimination of racism, both in football and in society in general. They provide educational workshops, training sessions, multimedia packages, and a whole host of resources designed to tackle racism.

Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust

As a result of the death of Stephen Lawrence, the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust was established to ensure that future generations are able to benefit from the opportunities he was denied.

The trust work with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds aged 13 to 30 to inspire and enable them to succeed in the career of their choice.

Runnymede Trust

Runnymede Trust is the UK's leading independent race equality thinktank, working to end racism.

Southall Black Sisters Trust

Founded in 1979, Southall Black Sisters addresses the needs of Black women, empowering them to escape poverty and violence.
