east to west exist to bring hope to young lives. Working in partnership with local schools and the NHS we support children, young people and their families through well-being and mental health issues, helping them to build the skills and resilience they need to not simply survive, but begin to thrive.
It’s rare to find people that truly never had a bad word to say about anyone, but Wyn Stuart was one of them. Anyone who knows Wyn will have been blessed by her warmth, her generosity and her sheer delight in getting to know you better. Her exuberance and zest for life knew no bounds; be it at work, at home, as a youth club leader or as chairwoman of the Egham Townswoman’s Guild (which she did until she was 90!)
But it was young people that Wyn really connected with and were closest to her heart. At Link Youth club in Egham, she was fundamental in nurturing and supporting young people as they journeyed towards adulthood. Sage and kind advice was always assured, along with a twinkle in her eye and a big hug (we could do that back then!)
She continued to keep in touch with many of the young people as they raised families of their own, and became a grandma in so many lives, not just for her own Grandchildren.
Her wish was for any donations to go to an organisation that supports young people as they navigate the storms of their teenage years. There can be no more fitting organisation than east to west.
