About us
Great St Mary's is an open and inclusive Christian community in the heart of Cambridge. Our foundations were laid in 1010, and we have been the University Church since 1209. We are a spiritual home for the University and the City of Cambridge, a Church of England parish in the Diocese of Ely, and a destination for visitors from around the world. We are also a Living Wage Employer, and a Silver-Award Eco Church.
WCC Harvest Collection 2024
Event dates: Thursday 26th September – Thursday 31st October
The collection is partly for a Home project and partly an Overseas one.
**Home – Cambridge Street Aid **offers individual grants to help people with a background of living on the city’s streets. The grants provide practical support to help people get off, and stay off, the streets. This links to the Revd. Kristian Hewitt being commissioned as the Bishop’s advisor on homelessness on 29 September and he will preach at GSM on 13 October which is Homelessness Sunday.
Overseas – the project will be featured in the next GSM e-mag.
