Apollo Home Healthcare are raising money for Leeds Hospitals Charity
We’re happy to share that our chosen charity for 2024 is a charity that is very close to our hearts… the Leeds Hospitals Charity - The Rob Burrow Centre for MND Appeal.
Inspired by our fearless client, Ian Flatt, and the many people we support who live with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), we have set ourselves a target of raising £5,000, across all our offices, towards this Appeal.
There is currently no cure for MND which can make moving around, swallowing, and breathing increasingly difficult, but there are treatments that can help reduce the impact it has on a person's daily life. With the right support in place, many people can live with the condition for many years.
Already a beacon of hope for many, we hope that by supporting #TeamFlatt and the Leeds Hospitals Charity in this Appeal, many more people affected by MND can benefit from the amazing vital services available, including emotional, physical, and practical support, along with expert care, compassion, and kindness.
So, the challenge has been set and we have invited our teams to get involved with one of the many challenges set by #TeamFlatt and to organise or join in with one of the many fundraising events we plan to hold throughout the year. We hope to see some of our clients joining in with the fundraising too!
We have many talents between us, so watch this space for marathons, walks, bake sales, coffee mornings, quizzes, and competitions a plenty, plus lots more… all in the name of this amazing cause.
You can keep up to date with our fundraising right here and support us too. So, feel free to share the link to this page and spread the word of our fundraising endeavors for such a great cause!

They say that there are no calories in treats when they’re for a great cause! Great news! The East Team has put together a tuck shop with a variety of drinks and snacks on offer, and best of all, all profits will go toward our chosen charity, The Rob Burrow Centre for MND Appeal.
So, if you’re heading to the Peterborough Office anytime soon, please make sure you bring your spare change with you and pay a visit to the… IrresEASTible Tuck Shop!
This is your chance to indulge in some delicious treats while supporting a meaningful cause. Every bite you take helps make a difference, so let’s join hands (and appetites) to support the fight against motor neurone disease!

Our courageous Caron is taking on a Sponsored Slim, aiming to shed a massive 50lb in just 25 weeks and hoping to raise money in support of our chosen charity this year, The Rob Burrow for MND Appeal!
Her journey started on Monday, 10th June, and will wrap up with the final weigh-in on Monday, 2nd December!
Can you help Caron shed the lbs and spur her on by donating your £s?!
Let's all rally behind Caron, cheer her on, and all chip in to help her smash her goal!

Our West Midlands Team recently organised an entertaining charity fundraiser of 'Guess the name of the Monkey', engaging everyone in predicting the name while raising money for our chosen charity.
Lisa from the Central Team struck gold by correctly guessing the name 'Mocha', winning the playful monkey for her child and pocketing £20, which she has chipped back in to Marie's Brave the Shave fundraiser to help get Marie to her target of £1000 before she will face shaving her hair. Let's keep our fingers crossed for Marie's fundraising success this month!
The wider Apollo Home Healthcare family members are enjoying the rewards too as all the prizes find their way home.
Our West Midlands Team raised an impressive £180 for the cause, boosting our total to an outstanding 42%!
Well done, West Midlands Team - you're doing an amazing job!

Jayne, the creative queen of our Central Team, rustled up a delightful surprise challenge last week - "Guess the number of Teddies in the jar".
Our champion, Claire, guesstimated the nearest answer and hit the jackpot with a mountain of 287 gummy bears! Needless to say that Claire (and her daughter!) were over the moon with their prize!
Thanks to Jayne, our fundraising pot got a sweet boost of £50, pushing us to reach 40% of our grand goal.
Thank you so much Jayne!

Nurses are like real-life superheroes – kind, brave, and full of heart. But our very own Nurse Marie? She's taking it up a notch for a good cause!
Approaching her 60th birthday, Nurse Marie pondered how to make this milestone extra memorable. A friend jokingly suggested shaving her head. And guess what? Marie said, "Let's do it, but let's make it count!"
With our charity of the year being The Rob Burrow Centre for MND Appeal, Marie knew she found her cause.
This head shave challenge is no small feat for Marie, so she's on a mission to raise as much as she can for this fantastic cause.
Once we hit £500, Marie will spill the beans on the shave date. And at £1000, the clippers will buzz!
Mark your calendars for July - the 7th month, paying tribute to Rob Burrow's iconic number 7 rugby shirt.
Thankfully, Marie's a wig expert. Let's make sure those wigs get their time to shine after her big shave!
Together, let's keep the amazing vibes rolling! So, chip in and watch those locks hit the floor for a cause worth cheering for!
Please make sure you mark your donation for Marie’s challenge and wish her luck, so we know when we have hit the target!
Your donations will help the great work Leeds Hospitals Charity do.
