On the 2nd of October I will be joining around 40,000 other crazy people and attempting to run around the streets of London covering 26.2 miles. This isn’t my first marathon but after not completing the distance for 4 years (and a far from ideal training plan) I am confident this will be my toughest! No time target, the aim is to complete the distance and raise some money for a great charity. Thinking of the generous donations will be what gets me to the finish line on the day (and my determination to prove to myself I can still do this in my 40s).

I am supporting an amazing children’s charity – The Lord’s Taverners. This charity exists to positively impact the lives of young people facing the challenges of inequality. The charity is UK based and aims to provide inclusive and impactful cricket programmes, empowering young people with disabilities and from disadvantaged communities to develop the knowledge, skills, capabilities and confidence required to overcome the challenges of inequality, raise their aspirations and reach their potential.

I know times are hard at present, the cost of living crisis is very real, any donation no matter how large or small is very much appreciated, thank you.
