Alex Sutton is raising money for PRAXIS COMMUNITY PROJECTS

My story

Hi everyone,

I've been coerced by colleagues to take on a 10k challenge to support the very special charity organisation I work for - Praxis Community Projects.

So, on Sunday 11th May, I will be participating in the Finsbury Park 10k Fun Run and would kindly like to ask you to show your support by helping me to raise money for Praxis.

My fundraising target is £250 so I only need 25 people to give me £10 each - keep your moral support and give me your cold hard cash!

Where will your money go?

Your sponsorship will be going specifically to the Hardship Fund which supports homeless & destitute migrants as part of the Temporary Homes project at Praxis.

The Temporary Homes project was only very recently developed in 2013 to provide safety and shelter for those who have nowhere else to turn.

Over the year, it grew from having a few hosts and one property to providing housing for nearly 20 people at any one time across a network of hosting families (housing which was provided by faith communities and our own accommodation).

In that first year, Praxis accommodated 67 people including 16 children. A further 22 people were referred to local night shelters.

Because homeless migrants are completely destitute, we provide them with a weekly subsistence grant, which covers the bare essentials for independent living.

How your donation will be spent:

  • £20 Weekly bus pass

  • £25 Weekly subsistence grant (1 Adult)

  • £40 Weekly subsistence grant (1 Adult +1 Child)

  • £60 Weekly subsistence grant (1 Adult + 2 Children)

Donations of ANY amount are very much welcome.

I am appealing to your kindness for contributions towards our Hardship Fund. Thank you in advance for your support!

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto PRAXIS COMMUNITY PROJECTS.
