Cycle Challenge for M.E.

Event date: 24th April 2010

Alistair Houghton and Rich Knight is raising money for CFS Research Foundation

My story

Ali and Rich will cycle nearly 600 miles from Southampton to Edinburgh in aid of the CFS Research Foundation, a fantastic charity funding research into M.E.

Our route will take us through the hilly terrain of the Peak District, the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland National Park.

In 2007 Ali's brother, Ross, died after a painful and brave 8 year fight with M.E. Although M.E. is not a killer itself, it destroys the life of the sufferer and has a huge impact on their family, who are often acting as carer without support. More serious long term sufferers are often bed-bound and in severe pain. A harsh reality of living with ME is that the cause has not been found and there is no known cure; this is very tough mentally.

Research is critical in the fight against M.E. and your donation will help CFS Research Foundation fund research into this terrible disease.

Thanks for your donation, we are extremely grateful.
