My story

Our mum lived her life with great joy and so much love for others. She served the local community of Felpham and Bognor for over 40 years as a community and practice nurse as well as managing a nursing home for some of that time. She taught us to work hard, to care about people, patience and to have fun.
Mum loved her cockapoo Alice and prior to Alice our Nana's dog George, both walked in later years by the volunteers of the Cinnamon Trust. When mum started falling and could no longer walk along the beach with Alice, these volunteers provided a life line that meant Mum could keep Alice for company while we had the peace of find Alice had the walks she loved and Mum had the social contact each day with the walkers.
Mum sadly died on January 26th 2021 from Covid 19. She had had a difficult year in relative isolation and with increasing physical ailments and cognitive decline. Her last words were so fitting -I love you- because she loved, and was loved by, so many in her very generous approach to life.

Thank You so much for your support- a little makes a big difference for smaller charities like this one.
Mum would be thrilled to be able to provide some financial support for a charity that helped her with Alice and Mum's mum Boris with George (who was once their newsletter front page poster boy!)
Thank you for joining us to celebrate Del's life. I will plan to close this page in the next 2 weeks- by Mother's day.
