Ellis and Faye Run the Manchester Marathon!

When we were disappointed not to get a place for the London Marathon, we decided to channel that emotion into something else and signed up to run in Manchester.

This will be Faye’s second marathon. She ran the Yorkshire race a few years ago and got a brilliant time despite a hilly course. Ellis will be running a marathon for the first time and is feeling pretty nervous! We will be running the Marathon together and have done most of our big training runs as a pair. This has mainly benefited Ellis who has had a bad run of broken headphones and has relied heavily on Faye’s ability to keep chatting even when running!

Training for this marathon has been a huge commitment. There have been many a weekend given up to feel fresh for a big run, and frequent 5am alarms to get a run in before work.
We would absolutely love it if you could support our hard work by donating generously to our chosen charity- Reach out to the Community. The charity is local to us and supports people who are experiencing homelessness and poverty in south Manchester. Many of the young people that Faye supports through work have benefited from the charity and we would love to give something back.
