Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK. About one in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime and although rare, men can get breast cancer as well. 390 men are diagnosed a year in the UK against 55000 women.

I’m raising money for Breast Cancer UK, as this is something which has had a massive impact on my family over the years. We have sadly lost family members that are loved and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing them. They were strong, brave, inspirational women who stayed strong and took on the burdens of their horrible diseases, as they did not want to hurt those they loved and cared for. They were fighting with all their might right until the end. They are sadly missed and will never be forgotten. We have also been blessed with others who have been able to come through the other side of the cycle and are now in the remission stages. We tell ourselves everyday how lucky we are to have them with us.

To honour those that been taken from us and the ones that are still fighting their battles, I am going to do a tandem skydive to raise money. I will jump from 15,000 feet falling at speeds of around 120mph.
