England Amputee Football Charity

The England Amputee Football Association is a registered charity providing footballing opportunities for limbless & limb affected persons.

The England National team are one of the most successful teams in this sports history with three World Cups wins, the team currently are ranked sixth in the World. In October 2022, the squad will embark to Istanbul in the hope of challenging for the WAFF World Cup.

While our team are elite athletes and have huge success on the International stage, it may surprise you to know the team are not supported/funded by any National Governing Body, meaning the players and staff have to fundraise around £1,500 per year to attend tournaments, fixtures and training weekends.

All staff and players are entirley voluntary, receiving no fee or expenses for taking part in the programme.

While this presents financial challenges, it does strengthen the character and togetherness within the group which can be showcased by the teams results on the pitch. The task of performing well in major tournaments is further challenged when facing countries whose players and staff are working within full time structured programmes.
