Environmenstrual Week - Bath Spa Eco Society

From the 19th-25th of October, we will be putting a spotlight on all things bloody & beautiful. This year, we wanted to continue our support for the Environmenstrual Campaign by the Women's Environmental Network which helps end period poverty & spread the word about how to make periods more sustainable.

100% of donations will go towards the Women's Environmental Network who are bringing period education to more schools and universities across the UK. The funding will be used to train Environmenstrual Ambassadors to educate young people and adults on the menstrual cycle, female anatomy, period poverty/taboo and the environmental/health impacts of products. It will help make reusable and plastic free period products the norm for everyone!

During the week, we will be sharing information on why this is such an important environmental & social issue, as well as a tutorial on how to make your own reusable pads. On the 19th, we are launching a competition which will challenge our members to create the funkiest pads they can whip up. The winner will be announced on the 23rd on an Instagram live Q&A session where we will be answering questions about how to use menstrual cups, period underwear & more.

Environmenstrual week is not only for women and people who bleed - it is an opportunity for everyone to learn about plastic free periods. We can’t wait to get stuck in this year, have some bloody amazing conversations & see what you all come up with
