HomeServe People Team Sponsored Walk

As a team, the People Team at HomeServe are raising money by completing a 10 mile walk for our chosen charity - The Samaritans (of Walsall & District).

The Samaritans provide emotional support all year round by phone, email, SMS and Face to Face for those struggling or in crisis, including those who are feeling suicidal

They support a population of over 300,00 members of Walsall and the surrounding areas and work in partnership with many local organisations to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention.
As a team we have already raised £6,000 for this amazing charity by doing various activities such as, sponsored Iron Man, Christmas fayres, Parachute jump, sponsored hair cut as well as many more.
We have also assisted them by painting their Portacabin.

We started raising money for this branch of the Samaritans following their burglary in March 2019, when thieves broke in and stole thousands of pounds worth of vital equipment including computers, phones, CCTV cameras and raffle prizes donated by kind supporters.

The money raised will help with the funds needed to offered this fantastic service to the local Walsall community.
