Jodie Alderman is raising money for Womb Transplant UK
As many of you know I was born with a condition called MRKH, I was born without a womb and only one kidney meaning I am unable to carry my own child. As a woman this is one of the most important things in life just to be able to feel that unconditional love and a tiny human growing inside of you has got to be the most amazing feeling. In 2012 I done some research and found a charity called womb transplant UK that have been doing the most amazing research into being able to transplant a womb from one lady to another meaning ladies like me and also ladies that have lost their womb to the horrible illness Cancer to actually have all their dreams come true and be able to carry their own child and become parents.
Due to ethical approval following a successful transplant in Sweden and a baby boy being born by C-section the charity now need to raise £500,000 to carry out the first 10 transplants in the United Kingdom.
I know this may be a charity that is not even thought of due to the fact that not many ladies are born with MRKH but in fact 1 in 5000 ladies are born with this condition and thousands more ladies of child bearing age have lost their womb to Cancer. so please take a few minutes to stop and donate even if its just a Fiver, every penny helps to make ladies like me to have all their dreams come true.
Where does the money go:
£50 - Blood test, immunosuppressant medication, Infection swabs.
£500 - Images ( CT scans/MRI/Ultrasounds) Fertility medication and travel costs.
£1000 - Egg collection, Embryo transfer, hospital stays and appointments and correct surgical kits.
The fundraising I am doing is Guess the name of the Teddy, How many tooth pastes are in the vase and a raffle. this is all going ahead on the week starting 15th feb 2016.
Please help me raise some money for the amazing team in London to make thousands of ladies DREAMS COME TRUE...
