Nipro Diagnostics Charity Bike Ride

A willing team of Nipro Diagnostics staff will be cycling from Portsmouth QA Hospital to the Primary Care Diabetes Society Conference in Birmingham. This is the 4th year of undertaking the 160 mile ride over 2 days (18-19th Nov). This year we are riding in support of the Silver Star Diabetes Charity.
Silver Star Diabetes is a registered charity, which campaigns to provide diabetes awareness that was launched in January 2007. The Charity runs Mobile Diabetes Units (MDU). The main role of the MDU is to carry out important diabetes testing and to promote culturally sensitive healthcare in the major towns and cities of Britain. There are currently over 3.2 million people diagnosed with diabetes in the UK and another over 1 million people who have type 2 diabetes but do not yet know it.
