The Big Rough Sleepout

Homelessness and rough sleeping don't just affect big cities. We also have these scourges here today in Powys. They can come about through changes in personal circumstances or on a massive scale through a disaster.

Newtown Rotary Club has organised this event and Ponthafren volunteers and staff members will spending the night sleeping in a cardboard box to raise awareness of homelessness at home and abroad.

The event will be supported by NPTC Group who are allowing the use of their Newtown College campus as the venue.

Whilst this is a challenge event, it is not intended to replicate the experiences of people who are homeless. One night could never come anywhere near to their suffering.
