My story
🧡Harpenden to Wembley!!
Nicola Casey a very good friend of mine and set up “The Ricky Casey Trust” after losing her husband to a rare kidney cancer in 2019. When Nicola asked me if I would walk the final leg with her on Monday 26th September 2022 of the ‘Oldham to Wembley 9 day challenge that Ricky’s best friend Lee McAllister set up and is currently walking the 210 miles along with Glyn Billington ‘Oldham to Wembley’.
I was honoured and after losing my husband myself to malignant melanoma 13 years ago I know how important it is for people to support charities who raise money for rare cancers, so here I am and the reason for my own individual page set up for the charity is any funds I raise will be matched by my workplace. Any donation received great or small will be going to a very worthy cause raising awareness for Renal cancers in the UK, and in particular, the sub-type Renal Medullary Carcinoma Cancer (RMC).
