Ryedale School Annual Sponsored Walk

The annual Ryedale school sponsored walk is a much loved and highly successful fundraising event. In normal years the whole school would walk 13 miles together through our amazing North Yorkshire countryside to raise funds for our school minibus.

The minibus is a vital asset to school life and benefits all our students whether it is being used for sports fixtures, curriculum visits or extra curricular enrichment. With the whole school back in September and day visits being allowed again the minibus will be as much in demand as ever and we need your help to raise funds to allow us to keep using it.

Although as a school we can't walk together we are challenging all our pupils and where possible their families to get out and walk a total of 10 miles. This year we are asking parents to ask the community for donations instead of sponsorship.

We realise that life has been very hard during lock-down and many people are struggling to get back to work and get businesses running again. However, in a normal year we would hope to raise £5000 pounds through this event and it would be fantastic if we could match this amount during lock-down. If each student could raise £10 of donations (£1 per mile walked) we could beat £5000. But any amount you can donate would be much appreciated and will help to keep our minibus running next year for the benefit of all our students.
