Our story

This Sunday’s Secondary Collection is for the rescheduled Pontifical Collection for the Holy Land, usually held on Good Friday.

This Collection will “will be a sign of rediscovered hope and of salvation after the Passion that many people now participate in, as well as solidarity with those who continue to live the Gospel of Jesus in the land where 'it all began.'" – Pope Francis.

Part of the fund is used to preserve the sacred places connected with the life of Jesus. Preserving these holy places enables those for visit from near and far to deepen their faith and connect with Christ on a cultural, historical and spiritual level.

The fund also provides pastoral care for Christians living in the region. This care includes training for seminarians and priests, education and youth projects, social and cultural initiatives and emergency assistance for those in need.
