Our story
Our son, Lucas MacMillan, was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour in September 2023 just after his 2nd birthday. The care and support we received during his journey has been phenomenal. He has now had the all clear from Alder Hey and is under ongoing monitoring. He is conquering every challenge we put in front of him and goes to nursery 5 days a week and started walking independently in October 2024. We have chosen 2 charities to raise money for to support their ongoing work and as a thank you for the support provided to our family; ‘Child Brain Injury Trust’ and ‘Oscar’s’. The challenge we have chosen to do is the ‘Snowdon 6’ on 28th June 2025. There are 6 marked tracks to the summit of Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa and we will be climbing the mountain 3 times using each track once. To make it more of a challenge Lucas’s dad, Dave, will be carrying the equivalent of Lucas’ weight on his back in a rucksack, 19.8kg/44lbs. Any support will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Our updates
We had to improvise a bit to get Lucas's weight so Dave knows what he's carrying up Snowdon 3 times. 19.8kg 😃😃😃💪💪💪⛰️⛰️⛰️

Getting acquainted with Rita
This was Lucas' second session today doing his hippotherapy (horse therapy) at Beechley Stables
Although this looks like Lucas isn't enjoying it....he is
When Lucas is on a horse it challenges his vestibular (balance) system and this can cause Lucas to feel even more unsteady. He managed to do a whole loop of the arena today... Lucas is very lucky that he's able have this therapy, it's all down to the kind generosity of Danny Green Fund which is one of three charities that we are raising money for on the Snowdon challenge that we're doing in June.
This is the sort of thing that your kind donations support

Lucas loving the sunset at the beach tonight 😍😍😍

Here he is!!! Lucas is doing amazing and it's only 6 weeks until Snowdon 6!!! 💙💙💙

Here's a little insight into Lucas's journey 💙💙
