Watching the news break out in Afghanistan and seeing civilians fleeing their lives from terror at this scale has been a wake up call like no other. I am so saddened and sick to my stomach that we live in a world whereby terror groups even exist, never mind taking control of whole countries. Watching the stories unfold and feeling helpless, I started to gain so much respect for anyone and everyone positively helping the country to bring safety and hope to so many. The British Red Cross are always there for humanitarian crises and never ever stop working tirelessly to support people across the world no matter who they are.
The work they do is essential to the lives of millions across the world and if we all do our part in fundraising, raising awareness and continuing the conversation, we are all contributing to helping those in need.
So why a skydive? For anyone that knows me, heights are not my thing. I'm known to have wobbly knees at the top of an escalator never mind jumping out of a plane. I want to raise as much money as I possibly can and therefore I want to put myself out of my comfort zone and commit to doing something which to me, is radical to show just how much I care about raising these funds.
Please do donate if you're able to and support The British Red Cross in helping people in Afghanistan and others around the world facing terror and other humanitarian crises. If you're unable to donate, please share so that others can. Anything is much appreciated and I thank you for your support.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto UK Skydiving Adventures to process and send to your chosen charity.
