Support LGBTQ Mental Health

When I was at school, a friend of mine had come out gay to his family. Unfortunately, he was not met with enough love and support from his family who found his sexual orientation difficult to accept. Later that year, he committed suicide, unable to live without the acceptance from his family. He had one of the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen. No one could have predicted his unhappiness. I will be running Brighton Marathon on 19th April 2020 in his memory and in the hope of fundraising over £500 for MindOut, a mental health service run by and for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer people. I will be running approximately 26 miles (42K) to ensure other LGBTQ people find the support they need to feel happy and loved and never go through what my friend went through.
