My story

We adopted Mabel in November 2020 through Paws 2 Rescue. This amazing charity does so much to help save the lives of countless dogs across Romania.

Mabel was just 3 months old when she was found in a dog pound close to death. Her rescuer, a lovely lady called Melisa, took her to safety just in time!

Mabel was very poorly, suffering with life threatening Parvovirus. Thanks to the kindness of Melisa and the Paws 2 Rescue team, Mabel got the treatment she very much needed.

This is when we found Mabel and agreed to adopt her. By the time she arrived with us she was 7 months old. She’s a very loving pup, mischievous, to everything! She is also petrified of anything new, new people, new dogs, new noises. But she’s doing AMAZING and we wouldn’t be without her. For those who have fur babies you’ll understand just what an important part of the family they are. Imagine your four legged friend needing help....I do, and I’m so grateful there are people like Melisa and charities like Paws 2 Rescue who can help.

So Mabel.....myself, Steve and Madison want to repay this kindness and help raise money for a much needed Sanctuary in the area of Romania Mabel was rescued from.

This sanctuary is so desperately needed, to help rehabilitate and save more dogs, with a neuter clinic on site to assist the local community. If you don’t know what happens to dogs in Romania who don’t get the help of charities like Paws 2 a google prepared it’s not how we treat dogs in the UK.

Team Mabel are committing to walking a minimum of 50 miles per week, that’s over 80 kilometres. Our walks will include Mabel so she is helping give back....and is saying a very special thank you to her rescuer Melisa who is leading this project. We are starting our mission on 12th April for 4 weeks. We will provide photos and updates as we go along.

£25,000 is needed in total, we are hoping to raise at least £250 to help towards this....if you can help us, no matter how small, your contribution would be greatly appreciated ❤️.

Thank you

Sam, Steve, Madison and Mabel x
