Event date: 14th September 2019
Susan Timblin is raising money for Little Hiccups
I first started walking The Leeds and Liverpool Canal when I was a child, with my family. It was my Dad's idea, and initiative, and over many years we got to the point where we walked the Leeds and Liverpool Canal in stages, right up until over the halfway point. It then got to the point, when we were all growing up and branching out into our own lives that we stopped walking the Leeds and Liverpool Canal full stop! In the intervening years the subject of the Leeds and Liverpool canal came up, but we didn't do anything about it, that was until my Dad mentioned started up the walk again in the Summer of 2016! Sadly, it wasn't to be, as my Dad suddenly and tragically died in March 2016, so we never got to do that walk. Sometime later, it was decided that we would, as a family, continue what my Dad started, and finish the walk ourselves, in remembrance to our Dad! And what he stood for! :)
Our latest walk along the Leeds and Liverpool canal will take on Burscough Bridge to Maghull, a total of about 12 miles, and will take place on Saturday 14th September 2019.
Today mark's 3.5 years since Dad's death, and so I felt that it was appropriate to launch this fundraising page in honor of him today! To help to raise money for a charity that is close to mine and Peter's hearts called Little Hiccups. Little Hiccups is a charity that offers support and activities to families with a child/ren with a disability/ies, and helps them to make them feel less isolated! :) It has certainly helped us as a family, and so we would like to give back. Little Hiccups turns 10 this year, so I have decided to use these walks to not only honour my Dad, but to fundraise for this amazing charity also. :) :)
Thank you for your support.

I completed this walk last Saturday, but I still haven't reached my target of £100. Therefore, could you please consider donating and then donate, whatever you can, to this worthy cause.
This page will stay on for another 3 weeks, so even though I have now completed this walk, it is not too late to donate something, anything, really! And for those, who said that you would sponsor me, but haven't yet, could you please donate now if you can! :)
Little Hiccups, really do make a difference to those families who have children with disabilities, and for us with Nathan, they've been a godsend! :) :) So could you please donate to help to support families like us, who need support from charities like Little Hiccups.
"Thank you!" :) :)
