Supporting education in Uganda

VMM International are an international development and volunteering organisation. They work with communities in areas of great need across Africa in education, healthcare, and community development to create a world where we live in the shelter of one another. I will be volunteering in St John Mary Vianney secondary school in Fort Portal, Uganda in September and October this year. I will be teaching Senior 1 and Senior 2 learners English. There are up to 76 learners in a class! I plan to write a blog and to keep you all informed about my preparations and what happens while I am there.

I will be having a fundraiser quiz night to support both the organisation I am travelling with and the host organisation for the time I work there. It will be held on Sunday 21st July at 7pm at Holy Name Church Hall, 200 Hillpark Road off Mansewood Road G43 1BU.
