Walk in their paws

My story

Hi all, I've done it, 100Km walked. It took me 113 hours, in the past I could have done it in 15 hours. So as the original challenge was 20Km why did I make myself do 100Km? Well I knew I was asking a lot of people to donate after this past year so I wanted to ask a lot of myself, and I did but I have done it! So a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me, and if anyone else would like to donate let me tell you a bit more about paws2rescue. You might be forgiven for thinking they are just rehomers of Romanian strays, they do that, but so much more. They also help rescuers pay vet bills to help treat dogs abused and tortured, they visit the shelters and save dogs about to be killed, they give food so the rescuers can not only feed dogs they have saved but also feed the strays, they sponsor neutering not only for the strays but for pets whose owners can't afford it, they send parcels to the children in orphanages, they have developed educational programs for schools to help teach children love and respect for all creatures and help break the cycle of animal cruelty. I've probably forgotten other aspects of their charity, but they do so much. Now they plan to build a purpose built shelter with a vet clinic so they can do even more. They have the land and started preparation, now they need £25,000 for the next stage. I think we've managed £20,000 so far, thank you so much if you've helped with that, if not and you would like to please donate below. Thank you all so very, very much, Chris

I've done it! 100km, ok so it took me 113 hours, but I have done it. Now I just need to hope that effort helps paws2rescue raise the full £25,000 they need to build this shelter.

Ok, so pain too bad to walk at all for 2 days last week, so over the weekend have managed 5Km each day. Yes it has taken me 3hrs each day but long gone are the days I could have done 5Km in less than an hour. Hopefully I am still on target for 100Km, I will do it I promise, because the babies and old folk that Paws2rescue are REALLY worth it. I an hurting doing this walk, BUT nowhere near as much as these souls are hurting. PLEASE, PLEASE,if you can spare a £1 , help me, help me help Paws2rescue save more souls.

Monday 12th, yippee, over the weekend I passed my 1/4 way mark of 25Km, and a little more today so I have now done 29.2Km leaving only 70.8Km to go 🤪. And seeing details of the plans for the sanctuary keeping me motivated, how amazing are they? This will be a place where dogs can heal, learn to play and hopefully go on to find their loving forever home. Just as importantly there will be a clinic for medical care and so vital spaying to help prevent so many unwanted puppies. Please, please help me to help this become a reality, every £1 donated will get PAWs closer to this sanctuary for unwanted and injured souls.

Thursday, my first week completed 😅. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me, I haven't seen most of you for 2 years so your support is extra special. I'm so glad I set myself the 100Km target, had I stuck at the 20Km then having been up for 4 hours with pain last night I would not have pushed myself out today. But I can't really afford to miss a day if I'm to make my 100Km target, and that's what it's really about making a special effort to support the amazing work the rescuers do. So since my last update I now completed 16.3Km, leaving 83.7Km to do. These wonderful people really need our help if they are to keep saving these poor souls, please support my effort if you can. Maybe you have given one of these babies a home, or you support the SAS dogs and you'd like to help but can't walk yourself, I'd be very grateful if you felt you could support me please. 🙃
