DAVID'S 75TH BIRTHDAY CHARITY WALK

David has a very special birthday coming up this December 2021, he is going to be 75 years young. In order to celebrate this and the fact that he may not be able to have a party, he has decided instead to walk 15 miles to raise much need funds for Gift of a Wedding.

Some of you may remember that this is not the first time David has raised money for the charity, 9 years ago he climbed Ben Nevis in Scotland, with some friends and family and raised £2500.00, so he is no stranger to fundraising for the charity.

To help David hit his £1000 target he asking you to dig deep and support him with a £25, £50, £75 or £100 donation in lieu of birthday gifts.

A WORD FROM THE FOUNDER OF GIFT OF A WEDDING
Gift of a wedding is looking to open its own preloved wedding boutique, which will allow our terminally ill brides to have their special wedding dress fitting experience and say "YES TO THEIR DREAM DRESS". All surplus dresses will be sold to the general public so that we can purchase items and services that we are unable to get donated like food, rings, shoes, grooms men's suits and bridesmaids dresses.

If you would like to join David on this walk, with lots of other walkers, that would be absolutely fantastic. All you have to do is contact our fundraising team at fundraisning@giftofawedding.org to let them know you would like to participate in the walk and they will explain what you need to do and answer any questions you may have.

DETAILS OF THE WALK
The walk will be a 15 mile walk between Oldham and Manchester city centre. If you are not up to a 15 mile walk you can do 10 miles or 5 miles instead. All walkers are welcome, including children and dogs. The aim is to raise £10,000.00.
