National Three Peaks Challenge 2018 - In memory of Mike

In memory of my darling husband Mike - a truly incredible, inspirational and courageous man.
We - Mary, Brad & Luke are embarking on a summer 2018 fundraising mission: We will take on the National Three Peaks Challenge which involves scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon in 24 hours!
Our aim is to raise awareness, encourage and hopefully generate as many financial donations as possible for the Withybush Hospital Cancer Day Unit Appeal. This was Mike's chosen charity and is an incredible and absolutely vital charity which works tirelessly in order to support, maintain and equip the new cancer treatment centre in Pembrokeshire.
This disease, sadly, touches so many of our lives.
My darling husband Mike has been our inspiration to embark upon this mission. He was an absolutely wonderful man who was loved dearly by us all. Mike fought cancer valiantly for 10 years enduring numerous major surgeries, several aggressive and debilitating courses of chemotherapy and other life changing and challenging health conditions. He fought with the bravery of a lion throughout his illness and always maintained an amazingly positive aura, incredible dignity and also gratitude to those who treated him and cared for him. Mike truly was the love of my life, my inspiration, my everything and I love, miss and long for him so much more than I can ever express with mere words. I have not coped well with losing my darling Mike and I hope that giving this project my focus will help to get me through these difficult days. I will be supported and accompanied on the National Three Peaks Challenge by my son Brad and our close family friend professional rugby player Luke Hamilton.
