Young Explorers to Scotland

In August this year, a group of 3 young people from The Change Foundation are heading to Scotland to take part in a two-week expedition with the British Exploring Society. They will undergo a series of challenges to develop wilderness survival skills and will learn how to live off-grid for the entire duration of the trip. This is an incredible opportunity that the young people would not be able to access without your help and it will give them the chance to experience tremendous personal growth. They will develop their self-esteem, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills which they will be able to take forward with them as they transition into their future career pathways whether that be employment, education or training.

The group will form as a team to take on challenges with other young people they have never met before from around the UK. The range of activities include; creating a fire, filtering clean drinking water, pitching tents, hiking, orienteering, kayaking, animal tracking and leading a biodiversity project. This opportunity will provide the young people with new friendships, new skills and new experiences which they will remember for their lifetime.

The young people need to collectively raise £500 which will go towards the cost of the trip and a life-changing experience. We would be really grateful for any contribution to the cost of the trip.
