My story
I'm running the Berlin Marathon for DEBRA
This year, I'm taking on the incredible challenge of running the Berlin Marathon, and I'm doing to raise money for DEBRA, a charity that supports people living with Epidermolysis Bullosa EB- a rare and painful genetic skin condition.
There is currently no cure for EB, and the condition can cause constant pain and life-limiting complications. DEBRA provides support for those affected and funds research to find better treatment- and one day a cure.
As a counsellor I see strength and resilience every day. Running this marathon is my way of honouring that same spirit in the EB community- people who wake up everyday and face pain most of us can't imagine. I want them to know they're not alone, and we see them.
Every mile I run is for the children, adults and families living with EB.
