My story
I am taking part in the Chicago Marathon in honour of those suffering with EB (epidermolysis bullosa) Inherited EB is a group of rare and incredibly painful genetic skin conditions that cause the skin to blister and tear at the slightest touch. With skin as fragile as a butterfly’s wings, EB is often referred to as ‘butterfly skin’. I took on this challenge to push my myself physically and emotionally as a reminder to be appreciative of things we tend to take for granted and to support DEBRA in their cause and support those in need.
