Chicago Marathon

Hi everyone,

This October, I’ll be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life running the Chicago Marathon to raise money for a charity that truly deserves every bit of support: DEBRA UK.

DEBRA is the national charity for people living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a rare, incredibly painful genetic skin condition that causes the skin to blister and tear at the slightest touch. It affects both children and adults, and right now, there is no cure.

The condition is often described as living with “butterfly skin” delicate, vulnerable, and constantly at risk of painful injury. DEBRA UK provides vital care, support, and funds life-changing research to help improve the lives of people affected by EB.

I’m raising £1,000, every pound of which will go towards helping DEBRA UK continue their incredible work.

Training for this marathon will not be easy and will test my endurance, determination, and legs! But the daily pain and challenges faced by those living with EB make every step worth it.
