About us
The 4Ed Foundation was created after Ed Slater, former professional Gloucester & Leicester Tigers rugby player, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, with the goal of supporting families affected by MND.
The foundation provides essential resources and financial assistance through grants to support where necessary. With empathy and understanding, 4Ed prioritises the well-being of families, ensuring they feel supported and heard.
Committed to improving the lives of those living with MND, the foundation builds a compassionate community where families can access the care and support, they need to manage the challenges of MND.
4ED
Established after Ed Slater's MND diagnosis in July 2022, 4Ed started as a bike ride between former teammates and friends with the aim of supporting Ed and his family as they navigated the difficult road ahead of them. Now 4Ed supports people who are sharing the same journey, by providing financial support to those living with MND.
Time is against families living with MND. 4Ed aims to proactively help those that are having to adapt to ever changing circumstances, helping to relieve some of the financial pressures that come with it. Our Family Grants application process is quick and straight forward and ensures that families can access this support without the stress and frustration that comes with onerous, lengthy application processes.
The 4Ed fund strives to make a meaningful difference to the lives of those grappling with the effects of MND and address the challenges families encounter.
Donating to the 4Ed campaign provides crucial support for MND-affected families, contributing to vital equipment, home modifications and more, while raising awareness for those having to adapt to ever changing circumstances.
