12K Charity Walk – Carsington Water

Join us for our annual 12K Charity Walk around the beautiful Carsington Water on Sunday, 1st November 2026!

Whether you're walking on your own, with friends and family, or bringing your four-legged friend along, we'd love for you to join us for a morning of fresh air, lovely scenery and community spirit. Every person who takes part helps us continue supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families across Derby and Derbyshire.

Event Details:

• Date: Sunday, 1st November 2026
• Start Time: Between 9:30am and 10:00am
• Location: Carsington Water, meeting point at the main car park
• Distance: 12 kilometres
• Entry Fee: £10 per person

The walk follows the approved circular route around Carsington Water. You can choose to complete the route in either direction, heading left or right around Carsington Water.

How to register
You can register in advance by clicking 'Donate now' and making a £10 payment per person. Please ensure you include your full name so we know who to expect. If you are paying for more than one person, please include the full names of everyone taking part. You can also just turn up on the day - bringing either cash or card to make your payment.

Getting ready for the walk
The walk follows a circular 12km route around Carsington Water, which is also used by members of the public. The walk is expected to go ahead rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather and wear suitable footwear. Please also bring water and a charged mobile phone, and follow any safety instructions and route signs.  Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.

This is a self guided walk following an establish route. The walk is not supervised by Umbrella staff. Although reasonable steps are taken to manage risks, walking involves potential hazards and accidents can happen. By taking part, you agree to take reasonable responsibility for your own safety while participating in the walk.
