The Ring O' Fire Challenge -

The Ring O' Fire 130 is one of the UK's classic ultra-endurance races. It is a **130-mile (209 km)**non-stop trail race that circumnavigates the entire island of Isle of Anglesey, starting and finishing at Breakwater Country Park.

Race overview

• Distance: 130 miles (209 km)
• Elevation gain: Over 13,000 ft (4,000 m)
• Time limit: 55 hours
• Format: Non-stop (although you can rest or sleep at designated checkpoints)
• Direction: Clockwise around the island
• Checkpoints: 9, spaced roughly every 15–20 miles.

The Ring O' Fire is considered one of the tougher 100+ mile races in Britain because:

• You are on your feet for 24–55 hours.
• The elevation is constant rather than concentrated.
• Coastal weather can change rapidly.
• Large sections are remote and exposed.
• You need to manage nutrition, navigation and fatigue through two nights.
