About us
Careline is a registered charity based in Ashbourne (No. 1068801). We offer a free telephone befriending service for people living in the Derbyshire Dales and East Staffordshire who are in need of extra support. Calls are available every day of the year including weekends and holidays.
The service is managed by Jane and Carolyn with the support of our fantastic Trustees and volunteers. Our aim is to make the lives of those we call a little better by offering friendship and peace of mind to their family and friends.
Our team of 60 volunteers provides friendship, greater social interaction and helps give our members the confidence to remain living independently. We monitor people’s well-being and pass on useful information about the services available to them in their local community.
Our service is free and available every day of the year including weekends and bank holidays.

Careline's Fundraising Walk 2024
Event date: Sunday 29th September 2024
The walk will take place from the Visitor Centre at Carsington Water on Sunday 29th September 2024 at 10am. We will be walking the 8-mile loop of the reservoir. A shorter walk will be available if preferred.
