The Catholic Education Service represents the Bishops' interests in shaping education policy across the 2,169 Catholic schools, colleges, academies, and universities overseen by the Catholic Church in England and Wales. It works in partnership with the UK and Welsh Governments, as well as other national organizations, to protect and advance Catholic education. Additionally, it contributes to educational policy discussions, advocating for the integration of Catholic values into national education strategies.
One of the Diocese of Portsmouth's priorities is working with children and young adults. We serve by providing places of education, university chaplaincy, parish youth ministry and opportunities for social action. There are 69 Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Portsmouth providing education and faith formation to 30,799 pupils.
