Our Vision is a community where no dream is off limits
We help our community pursue their dreams by improving their skills, resilience, well-being and confidence. We provide community support for local people across Merton, Wandsworth, Kingston predominately using sport as an engagement tool in four areas, education, sports development, social inclusion and health and well-being.
Ever since the Foundation was created in 2013, we have used the power of sport to reach those in our local boroughs who most need our help. We tackle the real problems that blight our community, bringing opportunities and life-changing experiences to the doorsteps of those who are so often left behind.
We give young people new skills and show them what a brighter future could look like. We help those who are unemployed discover new pathways into work. We facilitate opportunities for people struggling with their mental health to find support and we help older adults to keep active and tackle loneliness.
Event date: Saturday 4th February 2023
The Don’s Cycle Challenge is 20 mile sponsored cycle ride, with AFC Wimbledon Fans, staff and members of our local community to have fun and raise funds for AFC Wimbledon Foundation.
The 20 mile route takes us along the River Thames, across London, through the Olympic Park and up to Leyton in time to enjoy an away derby game.
This social, charity ride is open to cyclists over 16 years old and it’s non-competitive.
All money raised will enable AFC Wimbledon Foundation to continue helping our community pursue their dreams by improving people's skills, resilience, well-being and confidence.
