About us
Upmo provides tailored support and opportunities for young people and adults with learning disabilities and autism in Edinburgh and the Lothians. We help them develop life skills, build confidence and achieve their potential by providing a diverse range of creative, educational and social activities to take part in.
Our extensive programme of workshops has been developed in collaboration with our students and covers a wide range of subjects within the following key areas: Creative Art, Digital, Health & Wellbeing, Outdoor Learning and Employability. We also run regular events, trips and social activities throughout the year as the social element of Upmo is an important aspect of attending Upmo.
In addition to this, we provide employment training and work experience opportunities, including in our four social enterprise cafés in Edinburgh, Upmo Eat, which are run by and for our students, and through our Upmo Retail programme, where students design, make and sell their own products.
From Upmo with Love
Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.
Love comes in many forms, and this year, we’re inviting you to show your love for our vibrant Upmo community by supporting our From Upmo with Love campaign.
Watch our campaign video to find out what love means for our students and why they love coming to Upmo.
Any donation you can give will help us to welcome more students to Upmo this year, where they'll have the opportunity to find their own reasons to love being part of our community.
As a special thank you for donations of £20 or more, we’ll help you share the love by sending an exclusive From Upmo with Love card to a loved one of your choice, which has been hand designed by one of our talented Art students, Mary. If you would like us to send a card on your behalf, please complete this form.
Of course, if you would still like to buy that special someone a gift check out our Upmo Retail shop offering a range of homeware, clothing and accessories handmade by our Retail students.
