Our 40th Anniversary Appeal

Raising for Ghana School Aid

To mark the 40th anniversary of our voluntary work, we are raising money to to build a new classroom and improve the sanitation facilities at Gunda Kaa Munya Primary School.

This remote school in the Northern Region serves three communities who have just built new teachers' quarters using a grant from GSA.
We have chosen this school as our 40th Anniversary School.

The £5,000 target for this new work will enable them to accommodate their increased enrolment and benefit girls especially with good toilets. They are our '40th Anniversary School.'

If you can help us reach our total target of £10,000, this wonderful, additional boost to our existing funds would enable us to help at least one other struggling school to acquire similar basic facilities.

About us

Ghana School Aid

Charity number: 299178

Ghana School Aid is a charity established in 1986 to help the education of children in Ghana, particularly those in rural areas and the education of girls. Our working committee, consisting of volunteers in Ghana and the UK, makes grants to schools, in support of local efforts. We donate funds towards classroom building and repair projects, the purchase of essential furniture and learning resources, the provision of health and hygiene facilities and sometimes the acquisition of basic computing equipment. Grants are given directly to schools and outcomes monitored. Our representatives can also help with advice on project applications.
