Help Take Valley Brass to Chalon-sur-Saône, France
Raising for Valley Brass Band
Valley Brass Band, proud recipients of the King’s Award for Voluntary Service, has been invited to perform and visit the Community of Agglomeration Le Grand Chalon and Chalon-sur-Saône in April 2026.
This prestigious invitation comes from the Brass Band de Grand Chalon, Fanfare de Gergy, Fanfare de Pierre de Bresse, Batterie Fanfare de Chalon, Harmonie de Sanvignes, and Harmonie Amicale Pierroise. The band is honored to perform at several renowned venues, including the Conservatoire de Grand Chalon and the Château de Pierre de Bresse.
To ensure that all members of our main band can participate in this incredible opportunity, we are aiming to raise £10,000 to cover the cost of the journey.
We kindly ask for your support by purchasing miles: for every £6.50 donated, you help the band travel 1 mile closer to France (and back home again).
During our trip, we will proudly acknowledge and thank everyone who helped us make every mile of this journey possible.

About us
Valley Brass Band

We are a brass band based in Haydock, St. Helens, in the North West of England. The band was founded in 1992 when Musical Director, David Chadwick, came to the realisation that there were not enough musical services for young children in the area. We are now an established group and performing in concerts and contests regionally, nationally, and occasionally internationally.
We run a learner group, training band and adult training band to ensure anyone can have access to learning a musical instrument, whether you are entirely new, or have not played in a long time.
