How Many Halves - Sevenoaks School Challenge
Event dates: Wednesday 19th March – Tuesday 1st April
How Many Halves?
Sevenoaks schoolwide running and fundraising community challenge, How Many Halves, takes place from 19 March - 1 April 2025. This community challenge runs alongside our team of ten official Sevenoaks School runners, made up of staff, parents and Old Sennockians, preparing to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon, helping remove the barriers to a transformative, world-class education through financial assistance on 6 April 2025.
Run together, make a difference! We invite all Sevenoaks students to join us!
During PE lessons (Years 7 - 11) and at various points before and after school and in the CCF (Years 12 - 13) between 19 March and 1 April 2025, let's see how many half marathons we can complete together, in laps of 600 metres, to mark our school's upcoming 600th anniversary.
You put the kit on, we'll count the metres, and support each other to achieve a collective running and fundraising goal of £2,000 as a community.
How should we fundraise?
Each Sevenoaks School student should aim to raise £60, donated online via this page. Scan the QR code (to this page) around campus, and share it with your friends, teachers, and parents (and maybe your parents will share it with their friends, too!). All funds raised will be split equally between ensuring the ongoing diversity of our student body by supporting financially assisted places at Sevenoaks School, and Education for All, Morocco (EFAM), empowering the next generation of Morocco’s girls through access to the transformative power of education. Through several key projects, EFAM provide safe residences, quality education, and specialised support for around 500 disadvantaged girls from some of the country’s most underserved areas. With every girl they support, they create a ripple effect of hope and progress that touches families, communities, and future generations.
