Thousands of dogs are born on the streets of Bosnia every year, condemned to face cruel acts by locals, starvation, disease and brutal and inhumane deaths. The dogs are round up by dog catchers and often placed into kill shelters that provide no care, food or comfort, with many starving to death or dying of exposure.
Fetcher Dog aims to rescue as many of these dogs as possible. We have many local rescuers, picking up stray street dogs and removing as many as possible from kill shelters. All dogs are taken to safe and secure facilities where they no longer have to fear cruelty. They are fed and cared for and are taken to local veterinarians who help us nurse them back to health. We give them everything they need for a fresh start and the best possible chance of a happy, healthy life.
Fetcher Dog then finds forever homes for these dogs in the U.K. These dogs have been through so much that they desperately deserve wonderful families and we aim to pair all of our dogs with the best forever homes that we can find.
EDIT- We will now be doing this challenge to raise money for Cheddar's surgery. The vet has estimated his treatment to cost between £4000-£4200 which is a huge amount to pay but we hope we can help to raise some of it with our challenges.
Our logo dog and my baby, Koda turns seven this February and he is the first dog we rescued from Bosnia.
To celebrate his Birthday and to raise money for our lovely dogs, myself and Paul will be doing a 7-related challenge every day of February. We asked for suggestions on our social media platforms and have made a big list of challenges we have to do. Some are easy, like kissing seven dogs or doing a 7km walk and some are harder like eating 7 dog biscuits or doing 70 push ups.
We will be tackling one challenge each day of February.
Please support us and help us reach our goal and please follow along on our social media accounts for updates on how we are doing.
Thank you
Jordan
