Raising for Motor Neurone Disease Association
Oxfordshire Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) branch volunteers support people living with MND and their families whose lives are seriously affected by this devastating condition.
Fundraising and awareness raising is an important part of our work.
The money we raise contributes to equipment like shower/ wet rooms, stairlifts and communication aids. We help pay for counselling, complementary therapies and transport to enable people to join us at our events and assistance to carers and affected young people. We also contribute to the costs of research projects commissioned by the MNDA.
The branch has a team of trained Volunteer Association Visitors who keep in touch with families. We also hold regular Family and Friends meetings for people living with MND and their carers, which gives people an opportunity to meet with others who are living with the disease, and to share experiences and information.
Your contribution will make a real difference to people affected by MND in Oxfordshire.
