Poulton Park Play Area

Raising for Bradford On Avon Playing Field Association

*** UPDATE: We're really keen to finish Poulton Park play area and as such we've revised our funding target to £60,000 so we can reach it sooner. In order to do this, we've removed the basket spinner from the design.***

In 2024, Bradford on Avon Town Council unveiled the new design to improve the play area in Poulton Park.

The new design is more ambitious than the original like-for-like replacement – taking into consideration people’s comments about what they would like to see in the play area. Reflecting this, the response to the design was incredibly positive – with the local community very excited about the new play opportunities.

The new design is however, more expensive - and this means the project is having to be split into phases.

The town council completed the first phase of the project in the summer of 2024, at a cost of £80,000.

The town council is now working to secure the additional funding required to complete the project - and would welcome contributions from the local community and businesses who may wish to help.

We've been offered £25,000 in match funding and have been successful in securing additional funding - so we now need the community's support to raise the remainder of the amount so that we can begin phase 2 of the design. The match funding offer is only valid until July 2025, so we need to reach £50,000 by then!

If you or your business would like to make a substantial donation to the fund, please contact Bradford on Avon Town Council directly at office@bradfordonavontowncouncil.gov.uk

Our updates

Thanks to your donations, we’ve raised over £50,000 for the play area in Poulton Park.

And although we had been aiming to raise £60,000 for the second phase of improvements, we’re also really keen to finish the play area.

As such, we’ve made a few more changes to the design to match the £50,000 total raised so far – meaning that we’ve now met our funding target.

This means the town council has been able to place an order for the second phase of improvements, which will include trampolines, a smaller climbing frame and monkey bars.

A big thanks to the BoA Rotary Club for their donation of £500.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Poulton Park Fun Dog Show and raffle in April.  We raised an amazing £4595!

We're delighted to have received confirmation that we've been awarded £2000 from Selwood Housing's Stronger Communities Fund. Thank you Selwood Housing!

A huge thanks to everyone who made a donation following the fireworks event.  We collected a fantastic £2,880!
