"Raise a Paw" to build a safe space for cats in Westmorland!

Imagine a place filled with warmth, safety, and compassion, a place where every cat in need is given the chance to heal, to trust again, and to find a loving forever home. That vision is becoming a reality as we work to build a brand-new rescue cattery in Kendal, and you can help make it happen.

Your donation will create a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable cats across our region. We need to raise £75,000 to bring this vital project to life, and we’re calling on our community and local businesses to Raise a Paw and help create a brighter future for cats.

Every year, we receive hundreds of calls from people seeking help for cats in need - cats like Smokey Joe.

Abandoned, just a few weeks old at Appleby Fair, Smokey Joe was frightened, tiny, and desperately vulnerable. After an urgent vet check in a pub car park, he was taken into our care, placed with a dedicated foster carer, and given the support he needed to survive and thrive. Today, he’s living his best life as a pampered puss in an old people’s home, bringing comfort, companionship, and joy to residents every single day.

With your support, we can create a true safe haven;  a place where cats like Smokey Joe can be rescued, rehabilitated, and lovingly rehomed to get the second chance they deserve.

This new facility will enable us to provide essential veterinary care, specialist behavioural support, and a calm, high-welfare environment where every cat can thrive. Most importantly, it will help more cats find the loving forever homes they deserve across Westmorland and beyond.
