Each week Spotlight UK provide over 647 spaces in activities for children, 260 hours of free activities/respite to over 162 children weekly referred to us due to those who have a parent or sibling with terminal illnesses or long term medical condition, children in care, children who lack confidence and self esteem, children from families in the top 10% of income deprivation in the UK, children affected by domestic abuse, children on child protection plans for emotional abuse or neglect, young carers, children who have a sibling with additional needs, children affected by loss and separation. From youth clubs, to after school club, to sports to performing arts activities.
We also support a further 60 children each week in 1-2-1 mentoring emotional support including children affected by domestic abuse, children on child protection plans for emotional abuse or neglect, child who have experienced loss or separation, children who have a parent in prison or who is subject to drug and alcohol abuse, children with mental health issues
To provide free and low cost activities for children and families to help improve mental health, build confidence and self esteem and social interaction.
Our Ray of Hope Campaign looks to help: Children who have a sibling or parent with mental health issues, Children affected by domestic abuse, Children in care, Young carers, Children who experiences loss or separation, Children who have a parent or sibling who has a terminal illness or long term illness, Children with terminal illness or long term medical condition, Armed Forces Families and Low Income Families.
We are hoping to benefit over 1800 people with this campaign across Basingstoke.
