Raising for Murray's Initiative

URGENT APPEAL: Help Keep Our Women’s Service Open

" The Women's Service at Murray's Initiative has saved my life, I have found my confidence again because of the service, thank you for giving me my life back"

We need to raise £60,000 to keep our Women’s Service running for the next 10 months.

Without your help, women in Glasgow (and surrounding) will lose access to life-saving support – when they need it most!

Right now, in Glasgow, gender-based violence is rising sharply:

▪️ Domestic abuse up 41%
▪️ Rape up 41%
▪️ Sexual assault up 28%

Behind these very real statistics is a real person who needs somewhere safe to turn!

For many, Murray’s Initiative Women’s Service is that place. But our vital service is now under threat. Without immediate funding, this service will close before new funding becomes available in 2027 - leaving many women without support.

We know times are tough and money is tight, but any amount will make a difference… Your donation will help keep our service open and women safe.

If we raise more funds than required for this specific campaign, any additional money will be used to support the wider work of Murray’s Initiative including services for vulnerable individuals and communities.

Murray’s Initiative is a registered charity and has served the people of Glasgow and surrounding for the last 60 years.

Devastating to hear this news. This is a crucial service for women in Glasgow. Wish this wasn’t the case. Good luck with the fundraiser - fingers crossed.
