Every call and chat we answer has the potential to protect a child from sexual abuse - and it's only possible because of the generosity of people like you.
Since 2002, the Stop It Now helpline, has often been the first and only place where people can talk to someone when they are worried about harmful sexual thoughts or behaviours towards children.
It has been a lifeline for many, whether about their own thoughts, feelings, or behaviours towards children, families, and partners affected by a loved one’s actions, or for professionals seeking expert advice in complex and sensitive situations. Last year alone, we helped 16,000 people to take steps to prevent child sexual abuse before it happens.
Our Stop It Now helpline, chat and email services are anonymous and non-judgmental, helping people feel comfortable to come forward to gain the help they need. Your donations can be anonymous, too.
Five years ago, we launched our live chat service alongside the phone helpline to increase access to our crucial helpline support. Since then, we’ve helped nearly 3,500 people through this channel alone.

For more than 30 years the Lucy Faithfull Foundation has been at the forefront of tackling and preventing child sexual abuse. We firmly believe that child sexual abuse is preventable, not inevitable.
Our work is unique. We protect children by working with people who pose a risk and diverting them from causing harm. We support individuals and families who have been affected by abuse. And we help professionals who work with families to create safer environments for children.
We use data and insights, alongside decades of experience, to develop innovative strategies and interventions to make prevention a reality. We engage with policy and decision makers to advocate for a public health approach to preventing child sexual abuse and we share our understanding of what keeps children safe to the widest possible audience.
Our Stop It Now helpline is the largest confidential helpline of its kind for anyone with concerns about child sexual abuse, including those concerned about their own thoughts or behaviour.
