Help the City of Hull Band meet the costs incurred by reaching 'The National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall, London'
Raising for City of Hull Band
We’re The City of Hull Band, a dedicated and passionate brass band based in the North of England, and we have some incredible news: we competed in the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain at the iconic Royal Albert Hall this October! 🎉
This was a huge honour for us to represent our region on one of the world’s most prestigious stages.
🚌Why We Need Your Support:
The logistics of Getting 28+ musicians, instruments and percussion to London wasn’t easy – or cheap. The cost to the band amounted to £12890 and consisted of:
- Transport to and around London - £2950
- Accommodation for the band in London - £7490
- Rehearsal costs in the run up - £1000
- Rehearsal space in London - £500
- Contest entry fees and related expenses - £950
So far we have managed to raise £4000, through charitable donations, grants and fund raising events. We’re aiming to raise a further £8890 to cover the remaining amount.

The City of Hull has been at the heart of our community since is founding in 1989, 36 YEARS! We perform regularly at local events, contests, and concerts, and are proud to champion brass music for all ages and abilities. Over the years, we’ve built a reputation for quality performances, community spirit, and musical excellence.
Qualifying for the Royal Albert Hall isn’t just a great achievement – it’s a testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication of every member of our band.
